2. Where does CCB get its funding?
Our financial support comes from individuals and churches in North Carolina. There are some churches who send a monthly contribution from their budget. Individuals who are loyal to the Southern Baptist Convention and support our goals send gifts to support this ministry. We have never received any funds from the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.

5. What is CCB's position on the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina?
When we began in 1987, many conservatives were seriously considering leaving the BSCNC due to the moderate control of the convention. We have believed from the beginning that conservatives are in the majority, but were not mobilized to participate in the state convention. In addition, it has been our conviction that while there are some aspects of the state convention which we oppose, there are too many good things to abandon the entire convention. A decade and a half of hard work has demonstrated that we were right.

6. Why is it necessary to publish The Conservative Record?
This question has been posed often by moderates who do not want the conservative viewpoint presented to Baptists. TCR has provided information and a perspective that is not represented in the state paper, The Biblical Recorder. We continue to receive letters from Baptists who are angered and frustrated by the perspective of the Recorder. We offer an avenue for balance, fairness and Biblical perspectives which would not be available to NC Baptists otherwise.
